🐕🦺 Clever Dripper Vs V60
I think the Kalita Wave or the V60 might be a good idea to be able to brew smaller batches with thinner filters to savor this special coffee. I have the glass Kalita Wave filters and a glass V60-02, the V60 is much thicker glass and really heats up after pre-heating and brewing when compared to the Kalita.

I immediately thought of going and buying a plastic one (heat retention) but then thought of other drippers. Thoughts?
Chemex vs. Hario V60 is a classic argument for coffee people. One major difference between Chemex and the V60 is the grind size for the coffee beans. Chemex is designed for a medium-coarse grind, but it is quite forgiving if the grind is a bit finer or coarser. The V60 gives the grind a lot of say in how the coffee turns out.
They have very different shapes: V60 Filter vs Melitta filter. The Melitta dripper is loved because its so cheap and can still give a quality cup assuming your beans and grind are decent. It has a tiny hole versus the larger hole in the V60. This means that it controls the rate of coffee flow and you cannot do as much to control it.
The clever dripper looks great though. A good mix of varieties and quite straight forward while being consistent. I like the v60 but it's quite involved. Like the idea of setting up the dripper and leave it brewing whole I make breakfast or whatever. Coffee Angel have a good offer at the moment of the clever dripper and 100 filters for 31 quid.
The bother is more with the dripper. While the clever can achieve this it's a bit of the pain to use it in this way, then cool down the kettle water. In the end I did enjoy the cup a lot just not enough to make it by every day method. Just tried it again, just using a regular V60 and a very light natural Gesha. For awhile I've been brewing
The Chemex vs. V60 debate is all about these nuances. The Chemex is able to handle much larger brewing jobs. Chemex offers its pour-over pot in a variety of sizes which can be great for people looking to brew a lot of coffee at once. They are also a little more forgiving with the grounds of coffee that you use.
The Hario Switch is objectively the best coffee brewer around. It does everything you could want excellently and looks super aesthetic. For making 0.5L+ of coffee you can literally use it as a V60 but you can preheat the bejesus out of it by using the switch and have easier blooms. For single cups it's as easy as possible using the immersion
Now, you can MacGyver the drip coffee filters you've been using, but you really should pick up a pack of pour-over filters. Thankfully, with this set from Williams Sonoma, 100 Hario V60 coffee filters are included, along with the ceramic dripper itself and an elegant, heat-proof glass pot for larger batches. Now, I don't have a gooseneck kettle or a fancy coffee scale, but I grind my beans
